Hair coloring takes a toll on youthful shimmering hair. Your hair can quickly become brittle, and faded forcing you to buy and add more products to compensate. The good news is that it’s not too late to have your choice of color and soft glowing hair, naturally.
At Hairway 2 Heaven Salon, we use two different Organic Color products. One is Certified Organic, and the other is Matrix Organic. The Certified Organic Color uses recyclable containers while the Matrix Color uses non-recyclable tubing.
When applying layer upon layer of color to your hair as it grows, you may have noticed bands of different colors appearing where the old color and new color overlap. With Organic color, you get a more consistent result without those different color bands
The freshly mixed color still needs a little help to travel between the tight cuticles. Because of it’s alkaline property, ammonia is used in traditional hair color to open them. The side effect is damage to the cuticle in the form of gaps and rough edges where color seeps out. This causes color loss known as fading.
Certified Organic Hair Color uses a mild heat to open the cuticles; creating little to no fading.
Organic Color has come a long way over the years. When organic color was first used, the products could only make your hair darker. They didn’t have the ability to “lift” your hair. Lift refers to the lightening process done to your hair. Products we use can both lift and darken your hair.
I think you’ll find there is enough to show it’s not worth the risk when you have other better alternatives.
All these are great reasons to use Organic Hair color. If that isn’t enough, there is the added benefit that it provides a more natural looking hair color.
